About llms.txt
What is llms.txt?
A plain text file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that gives AI assistants a short, structured summary of your site: who you are, what you offer, and which pages matter. Think of it as the specials board for machines: the essentials, stated plainly, before anyone reads the whole menu.
Does my restaurant actually need one?
It is a small, young standard, and adoption is exactly why it works right now: very few restaurants have one, so those that do hand assistants a cleaner summary than their neighbours. It costs ten minutes and cannot hurt you. We publish one ourselves.
Where do I put the file?
At the root of your website, so it is reachable at yoursite.com/llms.txt. On most platforms that means uploading it wherever robots.txt lives, or asking whoever manages your site to add it. Download the file from this page and send it to them as is.
How often should I update it?
Whenever the facts change: new address, new booking link, a page added or retired. It is one small file, so the honest answer is: put a note in the diary for the seasonal menu change and review it then.
